We cannot get acquainted of a country only through of a journey, we can also make a training in a social organization to gain experience and in the understanding of the working mode, the State, the relations between the kinds, models of family or the economic conditions.

An experience internship in Fondation Kana contains not only the fact of living in a host family but also of working for the foundation and of making brief excursions in regions of Cameroon. This shape of training is set for the young interns, but also asks to have plenty of initiative to plan your stay, because the foundation is only a base. An experience internship has to last no more than two months.

The possible tasks during an experience internship are:

  • Read all the documents and the web site of the foundation to understand its structure and its functioning;
  • Participate in the events and in the meetings of the foundation;
  • Hold conversations with members of the foundation;
  • Visit the partner institutions of the foundation to give itself an impression of orphanages, schools and centers for handicapped persons in Yaounde (Cameroon);
  • Help the host family (Babysitting, tutelage of the youngest for homework, preparation of meals, shopping, etc.)

General conditions:

  • This type of training course in Fondation Kana extends over 1 to 2 months;
  • A good knowledge of French and English is necessary;
  • The cost of living in Cameroon is from €10 to €15 (about FCFA 9,750) per day;
  • A written internship report will be handed to the foundation after the duration of the training for archives.
